"Kūkā'ilimoku",watercolor, gouache.



Kūkā'ilimoku was Hawai'ian King Kamehameha's god of war, whose power was believed by the king to be responsible for his being able to unite all of the Hawai'ian islands as one nation. Usually depicted three-dimensionally as a tiki image, this painting in the artist's expression of the fierce and transcendent nature of this ancient god.

Painting image measures 15 1/2" X 22", and is available matted and framed from the artist for $1,500.00. Signed and numbered gicle'e reproductions in various sizes are also available, very reasonably priced.
